About Me

My name is Aaron Robinson Jr. I am an educator currently based in Chicago, but with my heart and future always in Detroit. Since I was in 5th grade, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I come from a long line of educators on both sides of my family, and it is my honor to continue that legacy everywhere I go and anytime I can. Education is not just a profession, it is a lifestyle that I have embraced.

Historian & Seeker of Justice

I am a trained historian and diversity worker. It has always. been part of my journey to find my roots, my connection to those who come before me, and utilize their lessons and stories to help us with our present problems. Justice is a marathon and as the baton has been passed to me, I work to pass it on to the next generation.

Returned Peace Corps Volunteer

I am a proud former (returned) Peace Corps volunteer who served in the People's Republic of China. This was my first teaching position, and it solidified my love for the profession. I am forever changed and forever humbled by my experience with the beautiful people I worked with and the wonderful students I worked for.

Husband and Future Father

I am recently and happily married to the best partner one could ask for. It has long been a dream of mine to start a family and carry on the legacy of fatherhood. I see my journey of preparing the next generation not only through an occupational lens, but also through the lens of my personal work and family values.
